The Daily Beacon is the editorially independent student newspaper serving the University of Tennessee campus and surrounding community. The paper is entirely produced and managed by UT students. The Daily Beacon is published weekly on Wednesdays during the fall and spring academic terms and content is published daily on the Daily Beacon website, utdailybeacon.com. The paper is free of charge and is mainly supported by advertising. Editorial policies can be found at utdailybeacon.com.

Daily Beacon staff members have won several awards such as the Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists as well as several journalism awards, including awards from the Associated Press and Southeastern Journalism Conference Awards.
